Foundation, a San Francisco robotics startup founded in 2024, is pitching its "Phantom" humanoid robots for border reconnaissance and defense logistics, with a CEO who says the company is in early talks with agencies including the Air Force, Navy, Army and DHS. The pitch, including a stated willingness to arm the machines if the federal government requested it, pushes humanoid robotics into some of its most contested territory yet.
